ASCENDING INFERNO is a super cool (and super hard) 2.5D platformer where you’re not just running and jumping — you’re dribbling a freaking soccer ball that’s actually your dead brother’s soul. You play as Dani, a goth girl who just died and wakes up in Hell, only to find her brother Vincent stuck there too — but now he’s a ball… with eyes.
Together, you gotta climb out of this nightmare, but if you drop him? Yeah, you are both toast. And trust me, Hell is a long way down. The game is like Dante’s Inferno but if it was built for people who love to suffer in precision platformers.
You’ll climb through nine layers of Hell — like Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, and a bunch of other wild places — each one with its own crazy mechanics to mess with you. Plus, every level is a mix of beautiful pixel and voxel art, so while you’re screaming in frustration, at least it looks amazing.
Oh, and if you’re into speedrunning? This game wants you to go fast — but also to cry when you mess up. What’s really cool is there’s a deeper story hidden in secret rooms. You’ll get to see more of Dani and Vincent’s sibling drama, and honestly, Vincent is kind of a little jerk — he’ll roast you every time you screw up.
