Blood and Leaves kicks off the Tales of the Nightmares series, acting as the base game for future DLCs. Each new episode drops a fresh story in the same freaky universe. Think of this one as the creepy pilot that sets everything up.

You play as a squad heading into a cursed swamp to find a missing girl. Sounds simple—until the local legends decide they’re real now. What starts as a rescue mission turns into a full-on nightmare, no joke.

You’ve got third-person shooting, dialogue choices that matter, and a semi-open map that lets you explore while still keeping things story-focused. Investigate everything—letters, objects, whatever. The world’s weird, dark, and not interested in letting you leave.

The whole episode runs about 30 to 60 minutes, and you actually get to control two different characters. There’s a ton of stuff you’ll probably miss the first time, so a second run hits way harder once the weirdness clicks.
